In an era of fast food and life in the fast lane, the dating scene has adapted to our fast moving society. In the summer of 2005 in San Francisco, we were a group of part-time media students and full time entrepreneurs, exploring the dating scene.
Our Mission
We were short on time, but anxious to find a partner. There was little time left to explore the bar & clubs scene; besides, who can trust nowadays going out with a complete stranger you meet in a bar?
So we decided to dedicate some time exploring the online dating scene. We discovered the many problems a single person faces when looking for a date online: is it safe to go out with someone you meet through a virtual world? Is there a dating website out there that combines safety with user friendly features at an affordable price?
After weeks of online research, we noticed that many websites boast to offer a large database but many members don't go beyond signing up because of high monthly fees. We noticed that many dating websites don't even allow guests to browse through their database unless they register first.
